A Demi Chef is responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes to
deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while consistently
contributing to departmental targets.
What will I be doing?
As a Demi Chef| you are responsible for preparing and presenting high quality
dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Demi Chef will
also be required to prepare all mis-en-place and contribute to departmental
targets. Specifically| you will be responsible for performing the following
tasks to the highest standards:
Ensure consistent great food production| in line with the high quality standards expected by Hilton
Perform tasks within a timely manner
Contribute to Kitchen revenue through effective food cost contro

Provide support to the Kitchen brigad

Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guideline

Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contaminatio

Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Report maintenance| hygiene and hazard issues
Comply with hotel security| fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
Awareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
Meet all health and hygiene requirements
Be environmentally aware

Job Description:

Responsible for the running of the shift| coordinating the Restaurant and In Room Dining simultaneously and conducting pre service briefings.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Full Time Commis Chef
Pastry/Baker| with pervious bakery experience to join our busy Pastry Culinary
team. As a member of our five star culinary team| you will work in our Pastry
Kitchen. Previous experience in HACCP Food Quality and Safety is desirable. To
assist us in maintaining our reputation for outstanding food and beverage
quality| only candidates with a high level of professionalism and a commitment
to excellence need apply.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a creative flair with prior experience
in a pastry kitchen| a genuine enthusiasm for cooking| self-motivation and the
ability to work unsupervised. Pervious bakery experience is a must. You must
be able to prioritise| have high attention to detail and also basic computer
skills in Microsoft Office applications. You must also be available to work a
rotating roster| including nights and weekends. This role will have a
requirement of HACCP reporting to be completed| therefore the successful
candidate must be prepared to develop and increase their knowledge in this
field.
