Job Summary
AECOM`s Victoria and South Australia (VSA) Regional team has an opportunity
for an enthusiastic and proactive Safety- Health & Environment Advisor to join
our business.
Based in our Melbourne office- this role will see you supporting the Regional
SH&E Manager- driving compliance and continuous improvement- and ensuring a
strong culture of SHE excellence is upheld throughout the region.
As an active member of our SH&E team- you will have the opportunity to
contribute to the development and implementation of health and safety programs
and initiatives- whilst supporting projects across the region.

The Role

This is a hands-on role- which will see you participating in both office and
field-based work. The role offers the opportunity to travel across the region
and exposure to AECOM`s exciting variety of infrastructure projects.

This role could suit an established Safety Advisor with construction or
consultancy-based experience looking to enhance their career through exposure
to large- complex infrastructure programs- or a proven Graduate Safety
Advisor/Coordinator looking for a step towards a broader and progressive SH&E
role.

As part of this role your tasks will include- but are not limited to:

Provide operational support across all core business lines – Environment- Civil Infrastructure- Buildings and Places- and Resources Power and Industrial;

Integration and communication with varied stakeholder groups and disciplines- including; client- contractors- consultants and members of the community;

Facilitating training sessions (prospectively) with stakeholders across various projects and advising as a consultant;

Conducting internal safety management system audits;

Participating in external systems audits;

Performing site-based inspections;

Coordinating and maintaining the tools of AECOM`s SH&E Program;

Facilitating monthly- SHE committee meetings;

Assisting in the preparation of monthly safety performance reports;

Maintaining AECOMs subcontractor pre-qualification process.

Minimum Requirements

Proven SH&E experience in construction- or engineering/environmental consulting (likely 2-6 years` relevant professional experience);

Engineering- Construction- Oil + Gas and/or Mining experience – advantageous;

Experience in developing and/or implementing new health and safety procedures- programs or initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Safety/Health/Environment;

Other health and safety training will be highly regarded (Incident investigation- systems auditing- return to work coordination- trainer and assessor.)

AECOM Senior / Principal Fire Safety Engineer in Brisbane- Australia

Job Summary
Our Building Engineering Team is growing! In order to support our internal
project-pipeline and the continued growth of our business- we are looking for
a Senior or Principal Fire Safety Consultant to join our team.
Working as part of the National Fire Engineering Team- this role will present
you with a number of development and growth opportunities- allowing you to
progress in technical excellence as well as business and project delivery
skills.
On the technical front- you will be responsible for developing performance-
based fire engineered strategies with a strong focus on both clien

relationships management and technical delivery. You will be exposed t

working on a range of building types including: large and medium size

hospitals- unique education facilities- and defence projects at a nationa

level. We are also providing fire safety engineering services for major
transport infrastructure projects.

As a highly experienced professional- this role will give you the opportunity
to build our business and help grow the team and our market presence in this
area.

Minimum Requirements

7+ years` relevant experience;

Experience with negotiations with approval authorities on performance-based designs;

Experience in preparing fire engineering documentation;

A strong background in the use of computer-based modelling;

Exceptional skills in word processing and spreadsheet use;

Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of the business.

Preferred Qualifications

Appropriate tertiary engineering qualification with an emphasis in Fire Safety Engineering;

Chartered status (or working towards the achievement);

A thorough understanding of applicable legislation.
