group opportunities. Manage reactive enquiries for all states as delegated by
Sales Manager| become a proficient acquisition tele marketer for the sales
department. Become a champion of local sourcing for group business & catering
The Sales Executive will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous|

Sales & Communication
Develop a local Sales action plan to target new acquisition MICE/Social/Group accounts within local Gold Coast region. Work closely with Sales Manager (QLD) on retention accounts| plus look to target new acquisition business.
Pro-actively source new RFP opportunities within local market| supported by internet-based search activities. Identify existing conferences with Australian market which can be targeted for future| via internet.
Develop and execute a local Day Business activation plan which assist the hotel to increase short lead meetings & events.
Work closely with Sales Manager to become proficient at quoting| negotiating and contracting of interstate MICE opportunities| as required.
Establish a regular local market call schedule to ensure that all new & repeat business receives regular hotel updates & offers.
Quote & convert small meetings & events quotes (under 50 Rooms)| seek guidance from Sales Managers’ as required. Manage reactive enquiries for all states as delegated by Sales Manager.
Pro-actively tele market new & existing database on behalf of Sales Manager with the aim to secure appointments of commercial opportunities for hotel.
Research new business| analyze and evaluate companies which could turn into a prospect lead. Liaise with Sales Manager on a weekly basis.
Develop local catering/meeting offers in conjunction with Director of Event Management and ensure local market distribution is managed accordingly.
Ensure key stakeholders within hotel are kept informed of weekly activities| via reporting and sales plans.
Work closely with Marketing Executive to ensure that digital/social media strategy supports sales plan for local market.
Ensure a focus on all Hotel facilities including rooms| food and beverage and catering always.
Maintain records of client sales activities and follow-up and ensure appropriate data is updated into OPERA/CI/TY for proposals and contracts.
Provide sales administration support to Sales manager as required.
Work towards monthly budgets and report progress every week against targets in the GRC Sales meetings.
We are looking for a proven performer in a fast paced| high volume and
challenging role. Strong leadership skills| Sales experience| creative flair
and excellent organisational skills are essential. To be successful in this
challenging and rewarding role you will have previous experience in a
Managerial role within a 4 or 5 star hotel/resort.
